Two Managers from Auditor General’s Office completed SAI Young Leaders Programme 2017 – 2018

The nominees from Auditor General’s Office (AGO); Izmeera Shiham, (Manager, Human Resources) and Mohamed Riznee, (Manager, Performance Audit) completed “SAI Young Leaders Programme 2017 – 2018” organized by INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI). The young leaders presented change strategy proposals, developing them further during the course of the programme, while working with appointed coaches from AGO. The twelve-month programme aimed to develop young leaders from Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) all over the world to contribute positive change in their SAIs.
The programme concluded with a two-week workshop held in Washington DC in October 2018. The participants interacted with heads of SAIs along with international stakeholders identifying issues, proposing solutions and discussing the implementation of their change strategies. Prior to that, they also participated a screening workshop held in November 2017 in Norway, before attending the SAI Young Leaders and Coaches International Interaction workshop held in India, in March 2018.
Described as “A personal journey of discovery and change” by IDI, the syllabus of the programme covered four broad clusters; discover self, grow people, discover universe and create value. With the vision of creating an international Young Leaders network from SAIs, the programme provided opportunities for the participants to interact, share and work together to contribute to a positive change in their SAIs.
