MNDF conducts leadership training for AGO staff

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has conducted a 2-day leadership training for staff members of Auditor General’s Office (AGO). Skills taught at the weekend training program include theory and practical skills of leadership, ethical decision making, first aid, self-assessment, mess etiquettes, self-defence, firefighting, conflict resolution, rescue skills, response skills in the upsurge of danger and team building. The 55 staff from AGO were trained by experienced officer trainers working in in various divisions of MNDF.

The closing ceremony was graced by Minister of Defence and National Security Honourable Adam Shareef. Ms. Aminath Muaza, the best female participant of the training while speaking at the ceremony said that the program was instructive and that the skills they learned were indeed beneficial every profession.

Auditor General Mr. Hassan Ziyath speaking at the ceremony said that the 48 hours spent in the military training island enhanced his respect and admiration for the army. In his speech he also recommended the program to other government staff, NGOs and even higher secondary students. He thanked the minister and praised MNDF seniors, especially commander Captain Ali Ihsaan’s experienced team for delivering an immaculate and attention to detail training.

The honourable chief guest in his speech complimented the Auditor General for his participation and also assured to provide such military trainings to various offices.
